Here is Emily's outfit today. I apologize for the picture; it's taken in the bathroom at her work (we don't see each other first thing in the morning usually or I would have taken a better picture for her). We're working on how to get better pictures from now on.
Today, she is wearing a dress from Old Navy that she purchased for just under $10 on clearance. It is made of a soft cottony fabric that is thick enough to skim over the areas she would rather not highlight. It also has darts built in along the sides near the bust so that the dress curves in at the waist, creating the illusion of a tapering at that point of her body.
On her feet, Emily is wearing a pair of very cool tall, red boots. I purchased these for her for Christmas for a very reasonable price through Jessica London which has wide-calf boots. This is definitely my go-to online store for boots for people like Emily and me who have larger sized legs and cannot fit into just any pair of boots.
Emily receives compliments on her boots every single time she wears them because they are a little unusual but are also very cool. What she has done with this outfit is wear a flattering dress in one solid color and then Wham! you're hit with the awesome boots. Altogether, the outfit looks stylish, well-thought out (even if there was little thought involved), and perfect for work. And it's all so comfortable that it's almost like wearing your nightie to work - ooh, not a good imagine in my head!
